Daryle Hines has been a counselor for 30+ years and works primarily with children, adolescents, college-aged students, and adults on an individual, couple, family, and group basis with a variety of issues. She has worked at Hickory Grove since 1990 as a professional counselor. Daryle has also worked at The Family Connection, The Christian Connection, and has volunteered on the Psychiatric Unit at Presbyterian Hospital. Reality Therapy and Control Theory, developed by Dr. William Glasser, is the framework for her counseling. Within that framework, she uses “Rational Emotive Therapy” (RET), developed by Dr. Albert Ellis, “Cognitive Behavioral Therapy”, developed by Karen Beck and Donald Michenbaum, as well as Transactional Analysis and Gestalt. She has recently expanded her practice to Catawba Heights Baptist Church in the Belmont/Mount Holly, NC area. Many years of experience in both education and mental health have provided a basis for her working with diverse and intensely emotional, mental and spiritual issues.
