FOSTER CARE TRAINING
Hickory Grove Baptist Church partners with Baptist Children's Home to offer Foster Care Training to any member desiring to become a licensed foster care parent. The Foster Care Training classes will take place on April 15, 29, and May 6, 20 at our Mallard Creek Campus. Please register HERE to participate in this training.
You must attend all classes for licensure.
BAPTIST CHILDREN'S HOME OF NORTH CAROLINA
Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina (BCH) was born on November 11, 1885, when nine-year-old Mary Presson stepped off the train at the property located in the small community of Thomasville, NC. Greeted by founder and longtime North Carolina Baptist John Haymes Mills, Mary became the first child admitted into the care of the Thomasville Orphanage as it was initially known.
Today, BCH has grown from its inaugural location into a sprawling organization located in 30 communities throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Guatemala. The nonprofit, fueled by charitable funding provided by churches and donors, has added a variety of services to offer help and hope to children, families, single mothers, college students, intellectually/developmentally disabled adults, and aging adults.
